RAM FORTRESS - LEPENSKI VIR - CAPTAIN-MIŠA’S HILL - GOLUBAC FORTRESS
Departure from Belgrade at 8.00. Drive along the E75 highway and arrive at the Ram Fortress, the place of the closest meeting of Banat (northern) and Braničevo (southern) regions with the Carpathian mountains. The fortress was completely reconstructed in 2019, thanks to the donation of TIKA. After the tour, continue driving along the Djerdap highway, with a beautiful view of the longest European river gorge. Arrive to Lepenski vir archaeological site, and get to know the center of one of the oldest and most advanced Danube prehistoric civilizations. Lunch break in the most beautiful ethno-complex on the Danube river, Captain-Miša’s hill, with magnificent view over the gorge. Return to Golubac, and visit the fortress of the same name, at the place where the Danube is the widest, and where the Djerdap gorge begins. Return to Belgrade in the evening.
